Silenced my Ender 3 I added these to my Ender 3. I added one to the extruder and one to my X stepper, and my machine is SUPER quiet now. I don’t even see a need to add one to the Y stepper. If you’re buying these for an Ender 3, be aware that you’ll need to print an adapter for the Y stepper. Make sure you do this before you take it all apart! IF you don’t use the adapter, your bed will hit the stepper motor.
SUPPER SILENT PRINTING. There’s few things I post review for, but this removed all of the 3D printing squeals…latterly no more wining just fans sounds. I didn’t feel like the extruder would need on but it’s now the loudest part of the printer other than the fans! 1000% recommend!
Easy, useful upgrade Even though I use the cheapest of cheap stepper drivers, these things make my printer near silent. It works beautifully for my X and Y steppers, but not as well for the Z stepper. This is not because of a poor product, but the slop in the lead screw + threads for the buildplate. Also, don’t use one of these on your extruder as this will yield poor print quality.I can sleep with my printer on.
