It’s good for pros; read if you can’t get to 30A I have a company on making custom-made power supplies.Hence, I have many random projects that for my internal testing require 12V supplies. Like for water cooling systems, fans, relay drivers, internal supplies,….I have a bunch of these and I’m very happyBUT, this unit cannot jump to say 30A or cannot exceed that (it won’t go to current control mode, it will just shut down).So to drive large fans (for example 2x14A fans) I need to have inrush current limiters…
Power supply died 2 days after return period ended. This PS worked OK and the fan cycled on and off, but there was always a bit of a ‘burning’ smell from the unit. However it finally died and now will power up for a few seconds (with no load) and is now useless. Menzo says in the item description “WARRANTY: Any issue do not hesitate to contact us, we will offer a guaranteed satisfaction” but I can find no way to actually contact Menzo except in this review. If they do offer a solution I will upgrade this review. At the moment I cannot…
Does exactly what I need it to, and very reasonably priced I’ve purchased several 12 VDC power supplies similar to this one for use in powering larger arrays of LED lights. Since most reasonably priced DC power adapters top out at 4 or 5 amps, powering larger LED arrays, such as a coffered ceiling, would either require multiple adapters or a larger power supply like this one. In terms of amps/$, this type of supply is definitely more cost-effective, but of course it requires a bit more care in terms of installation location and you have to…
