I guess not all filaments are created equal. Watch out for shrinkage and bed adhesion issues. I’ve always purchased the cheapest filament thinking that there shouldn’t be that big of a difference between the different brands. Especially when it comes to PLA. I was proven wrong.I thought that I could deal with the occasional clogged nozzle or brittle filament if I left it out too long but this Superfila PLA filament presents a problem that I couldn’t accept — shrinkage.This filament shrinks in the X and Y axis, so the final dimensions of the printed parts are…

It works OK with a 0.8mm nozzle, not super great for smaller nozzles. I’m now on my 20th spool of this stuff. It works OK but not fantastically well. Here are my Pros and Cons for this one:Pros:- Does work OK with a 0.8mm but anything smaller than that and you may experience nozzle clogs.- Actually looks white, where some other “white” PLA’s will actually have an off-white color.- Still Inexpensive even after the price hike.Cons:- Filament diameter/accuracy varies a lot more than most other PLA’s I’ve tried. Doesn’t extrude, like at all. I had red. This is the filament that taught me not to use cheap filament. Printer wasn’t working with it, so I pulled it and put in some black Hatchbox PLA, with which I’ve had great results in the past. It turned out the nozzle was clogged so I needled it for awhile then put back in the Hatchbox PLA. It started coming out, then clogged again. I needled then manually fed about a foot of hatchbox through it, every once in awhile having to needle it because some of this cheap stuff was still up…
